For a simple and very effective toothpaste I have found for me that a simple blend of 'aluminium free' bicarbonate of soda and a drop or two of essential oil mixed through it, such as peppermint oil, to be the best I've used and wouldn't go back to store bought ones. I have also found that an equally effective mouthwash is a 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide and I even use a 6% occasionally to whiten the teeth if needed.
